When we sit and look back at all the excellent changes that Chrysler made in the completely-redesigned 2015 Chrysler 200, we can’t help but be appreciative of the artful job they did in completely updating one of our most popular vehicles. Obviously, things like upgraded technology, more lavish interior materials and of course an entirely new look are at the top of the list of things that have gotten both reviewers and customers excited about the car, but the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety recently gave us all one more reason to be thrilled with the new Chrysler 200: it is now an IIHS Top Safety Pick+.
For those unfamiliar with the designation, the IIHS puts hundreds of cars through a battery of crash tests every year, and for those that score top marks across the board, there is the aforementioned designation to reward them. What differentiates a Top Safety Pick+ from just a Top Safety Pick, however, is the car’s performance on the small front overlap crash test, which has proven to be challenging for the overwhelming majority of the industry’s cars. The 2015 Chrysler 200 earned top marks on that test, which is definitely great news for one of the most exciting new models of the 2015 model year.
There are a lot of reasons to love the completely-redesigned 2015 Chrysler 200, and safety is right at the top of the list. This designation is truly an honor, and we’re looking forward to seeing more Toyota models join the 200 in coming model years!
