Pickup trucks and country music go together like peas and carrots, so makes it a lot of sense that RAM would want to break the Guinness World Record for the largest parade of pickup trucks the same weekend that they were also sponsoring the 50th Academy of Country Music Awards.
On Saturday, April 18th, the day before the actual awards ceremony will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, RAM is rounding up as many as 500 RAM pickup trucks to assemble for a parade that would be the largest congregation of pickups in the history of the automobile.
They are calling the event, appropriately, the RAM Roundup, and with a little under a month to go before the publicity stunt, the automaker is still looking to add more vehicles to its parade. We know that Vicksburg is a solid 1,100 miles from Arlington, Texas, but RAM is sweetening the pot by offering all participants in the parade free admission to the ACM Party for a Cause Festival, which will feature all kinds of fun activities, not the least of which will be live performances from some of country music’s biggest stars.
To sign up, all you have to do is visit www.ramroundup.com and, assuming there are still spots left, you’ll be set to have one of the most fun weekends of your life. It’s a long drive, sure, but for an event like this it could be worth the trip. Why not help your 2015 RAM 1500 become part of history?
