As it happens, it looks like our blog is going to be pretty loaded with engine-related posts this month, but that’s what happens when Chrysler drivetrains work themselves into the sort of the respectability they’ve earned over the course of the last several years. In our last post, the 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 found in both the 2015 RAM 1500 and 2015 Jeep® Grand Cherokee got props for its technological advancement, yet here we are, once again reporting on another accolade that the very same engine has earned.

This time it’s an appearance on the list of Ward’s 10 Best Engines of 2015, which is something engineers look forward to every December. It was included for all the same reasons we mentioned in our last post, but for those that would rather not scroll back to read those details, here are the highlights: with 420 lb-ft of torque, the turbodiesel engine offers a lot of the same twist as a traditional gas engine, but it’s much more efficient, which gives drivers an eco-friendly choice that still has plenty of punch.

That wasn’t the only Chrysler engine to make the list, however; the 6.2-liter HEMI V8 in the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat also made the list, probably because it’s one of the most monstrously amazing new engines of the year with 707 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque.

Chrysler was one of only two automakers to have two engines make the list, and the experienced staff at Vicksburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM is very proud of that fact. After all, what’s a car, truck or SUV without a good engine? To see our current inventory of 2015 models equipped with these award-winning engines, stop by our dealership soon.
