Kelley Blue Book recently put out a list of what they believe to be the “Top 10 Best Road Trip Cars” for 2015, and we here at Vicksburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM were pleasantly surprised to see that the 2015 Chrysler 300 was among the vehicles mentioned.
Obviously this is a large, chiseled sedan that doesn’t necessarily have a history of being a car made for long trips, but KBB points out that not only has the newest iteration of this vehicle improved the level of comfort and technology in the car, but it also has improved its status a cop car, with many forces across the United States opting to adopt it among their squad cars.
“But,” you may ask, “What does being a great cop car have to do with being a great road trip car?” Well, policemen drive long distances in these vehicles, putting on massive miles over time, so it’s important that they have access to a comfortable vehicle that also can rock massive performance when the need calls for it. Obviously, the 300 does pretty well in both of those arenas.
Beyond just the police aspect, though, anybody can enjoy a nice, powerful 3.6-liter V6 engine capable of pushing out an impressive 363 hp. This car can growl on an open road, which at the end of the day is what makes it one of the best road trip vehicles in the industry today. KBB had it in their top five, but as your Chrysler dealership we’d say with a smile that it’s #1 in our book.
