For those that have been following the North American International Auto Show in Detroit over the course of the last week or so know that the brand new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivan was one of the most talked-about debuts of the entire exhibition this winter.

Set to replace the outgoing Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan, the new Pacifica already is being dubbed “The Minivan of the Future,” and for very good reasons. The hybrid drivetrain, which would make this one of the most unique minivans ever manufactured, is a great place to start, as it is expected to get excellent fuel efficiency numbers and features a battery pack that will allow the vehicle to travel up to 30 miles on electricity alone.

Beyond that, though, the vehicle offers plenty in other important automotive arenas, as well, not the least of which are aesthetics, safety and technology.

The Pacifica looks amazing, with a sleeker overall look that helps this minivan be one of the most attractive and modern-looking in its segment. Saying that minivans aren’t cool no longer will be a reason to avoid making one your family vehicle.

As far as technology is concerned, the Pacific will be loaded with it, with in-vehicle WiFi available to save nasty data overages on those long road trips, as well as two 10-inch touchscreen displays for kids in the back that even offer special apps pre-loaded.

Advanced safety features abound, as well, making this the safest minivan FCA has ever produced, and that’s why as your friendly neighborhood Chrysler dealership we’re so excited about a new Chrysler model that really could revolutionize the way American buyers view the minivan. It currently is slated to arrive later this calendar year, and we already can’t wait.
