There’s no denying the fact that last year the 707-hp Hellcat engine that appeared in both the Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger did wonders for the brand in terms of positive publicity, and those who own those vehicles will probably tell anyone who will listen that they’ve never owned or driven anything quite like it.
This isn’t about how awesome those Hellcat models are, however. It’s about how excellent the rest of the vehicles are in the Charger and Challenger lineups.
Actually, it’s specifically about how underrated the 2016 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack is, as it recently was named to BoldRide’s list of the “8 Most Underrated Sport Sedans” currently in production. While the engine doesn’t come anywhere close to 707 horsepower, the reality is that not many engines do. The fact that the R/T Scat Pack features a really nice 6.4-liter V8 engine capable of pumping out a whopping 485 hp is more than enough to make it a really interesting option for Kalamazoo consumers in the market for a speedy new sedan.
The overwhelming majority of vehicles sold today don’t come anywhere close to that number, either, and when compared to those that actually do boast that much horsepower it’s rare to see them do so for the price that Dodge so benevolently offers.
In other words, when it comes to affordable power, the Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack is at the very least an interesting option, though here at Vicksburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM we’d contend that it’s an elite option. Interested in taking one for a test drive? We’d highly encourage that, and we’d be happy to help you get behind the wheel and see for yourself just how underrated it really is.
