The seven Fast and Furious movies have combined to make just south of $1.3 billion at the U.S. box office over the course of the last 15 years, and the most recent installment, Furious 7, was at one point the fifth highest-grossing movie worldwide in the history of moving pictures. Knowing all that, it shouldn’t come as too big a surprise that auto dealerships responsible for selling the speedy vehicles that appear in these films love when a new movie comes to theaters, not only because they’re wildly entertaining but also because they serve as nice advertisements for some of the more fun automobiles at their facilities.
Here at Vicksburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM, we love when FCA US LLC models find their way into these films, and thanks to some leaked photographs that were released a couple of weeks ago we know that both Dodge and RAM vehicles will get cameos in the eighth Fast and Furious movie.
More specifically, there will be a throwback Dodge Charger with fender flares and (eventually) bullet holes, to be driven by Vin Diesel’s character in a scene that looks as though it will take place on ice and snow. The other vehicle is a wildly modified RAM truck that looks familiar at the front end but is utterly tank-like in back, thanks in large part to a scary-looking series of tools that will help the “Ice RAM,” driven by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s character, escape danger and inflict damage.
We know movie-goers in Vicksburg, MI are looking forward to the upcoming film, and images like this only fuel that fire. If you’re interested in test driving a real Dodge Charger or any other model featured in any of the aforementioned films, stop by and we’ll get you all set up. It won’t be quite as exciting as what you see on the big screen, but it’s pretty darn close.
