Owning one of the many new Jeep®SUVs currently on sale isn’t just a matter of making a purchase and then putting a machine to use every day; it’s also about becoming part of the Jeep community, which is an entirely more enriching and enjoyable experience than non-Jeep owners can begin to imagine.
In fact, the Jeep community is so friendly that when one Jeep owner sees someone else driving a Jeep around town, it’s not uncommon to offer up the “Jeep wave” as sort of a secret handshake in one of the auto industry’s most enjoyable clubs.
It shouldn’t come as too big a surprise, then, that Jeep chose to call its new customer support program Jeep Wave, a clear nod to the warm, fuzzy feeling and camaraderie that typically come with owning a Jeep vehicle.
The new Jeep Wave customer support program reportedly will be made available as a complimentary treat for owners of the top-of-the-line trims of many Jeep vehicles, including the Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit, Overland and SRT models and all Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Cherokee and Jeep Renegade Trailhawk models.
There is a chance that more Jeep models may also get the Jeep Wave treatment at a later time, but it looks these will be the test subjects for what should be an awesome new service.
While it hasn’t been announced officially yet, rumors are swirling that Jeep Wave will include two free oil changes and a tire rotation each year, preferential treatment at Jeep events nationwide, savings on Jeep accessories, free loaners when your SUV is getting serviced and quite a bit more.
