There are a million different reasons to fall in love with the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan, but one bit of positive feedback we’ve heard from Vicksburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM customers early on in the process has been in regard to the Uconnect Theater touchscreen infotainment system that has helped rear passengers pass the time during long drives in the new Chrysler minivan.
While DVD players are nothing new in automobiles, many of the features that appear in Uconnect Theater are unique to this particular automobile. There are, for example, a number of interactive games available to rear passengers, including Checkers and Tic Tac Toe. And since each passenger has their own touchscreen monitor in front of them, that means they’re actually able to play against each other.
Passengers can also play the “License Plate Game” on these devices, as there’s one app that keeps track of which states’ license plates have been spotted during the drive. Nearly everybody played that game as a kid, but now there’s an easier way than ever to keep score.
There actually are a bevy of interactive games available through the infotainment system, some of which are solitary and other that require a buddy or sibling, but all of it amounts to passing the time as smoothly as possible. There’s even an “Are We There Yet?” app that shows backseat passengers exactly how much time is left before arrival at a destination. In terms of distractions for the driver, this is a system that seriously is going to cut those down.
