It won’t be long before there’s a new addition to the Dodge SUV lineup. The 2023 Dodge Hornet will be arriving in dealerships soon, and it’s already creating a buzz (pardon the pun). Here’s what we know about it so far.

It Has Great Power and Acceleration

The Dodge Hornet has a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that pumps out 265 horsepower. This is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is available. The 0-to-60-mph time is an impressive 6.5 seconds.

There’s a Plug-In Hybrid Model

If you’ve eagerly been waiting for a plug-in hybrid from Dodge, your wait is almost over. The Dodge Hornet R/T has a turbocharged 1.3-liter, four-cylinder engine, and an electric motor, and these combine to put out 285 horsepower. And thanks to a unique PowerShot feature, 25 horsepower can be added temporarily. A six-speed automatic comes standard, as does all-wheel drive.

The Dodge Hornet R/T can go from 0 to 60 in 6.1 seconds. It also can go up to 30 miles only using electricity. With a Level 2 charger, the battery can get completely charged in about 2.5 hours.

It Has Many Advanced Tech and Safety Features

No matter the Dodge Hornet you pick, it will come with many of the brand’s latest features. In addition to an infotainment system with a 10.3-inch touchscreen, you’ll get wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®, along with Amazon Alexa®. A smartphone charging pad and a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system are also available.

You will also get numerous safety features, including blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and lane keep assist. Adaptive cruise control with a lane-centering feature can be added.
