Jeep, it seems, is ready to do some new and exciting things with its SUV lineup over the course of the next few years, and one of the first steps in that next generation of Jeeps for sale will be the 2018 Jeep® Grand Wagoneer, a big SUV that could completely revive the big SUV around Battle Creek, MI and the rest of the country.
Not much is known about the vehicle at this point because all any Jeep dealership has seen to date has been some official images of the SUV, but the indication is that it could share some very important features with the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee. From what we can tell right now, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer will feature the marque’s trademark seven-slat grille in a style very similar to that of the Jeep Wrangler, while the headlights, which hearken back to the current Jeep Grand Cherokee, are absolutely gorgeous, with seven LEDs per light and a new design pattern in the headlamps that we haven’t seen from any other Jeep model to date.
It is going to be big, which means three full rows inside the SUV. It also means the Jeep Grand Wagoneer could share a stretched-out version of the same platform as the next-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee. Inside, there could be a host of different trim offerings, with the highest looking to compete with some of the most luxurious vehicles currently on the road. The hope, obviously, is that it will completely revitalize American customers’ interest in larger SUVs, and based on what we’re hearing there’s plenty of optimism around Vicksburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM that we’ll see the results Jeep hopes for.
In the meantime, we’ll wait and focus on the SUVs that currently are in production, which are no slouches themselves. In time, though, we hope that the Jeep Grand Wagoneer is able to join them.
